I help neurodivergent people get better connected to themselves and their needs, to support self-advocacy, grow confidence and harness the power of their neurodiversity to create positive change.
LAURA HOWES COACHING & DEVELOPMENT
Services
I’m a qualified coach (Level 5 Coaching & Mentoring) with specialist training in Learning and Development and Counselling Skills. I support neurodivergent professionals — including those accessing coaching through Access to Work — to build confidence, emotional regulation, and strategies that align with their neurotype.
As a neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ advocate, I understand the complexities of balancing identity, work, and wellbeing. My trauma-informed, strengths-based approach helps clients reconnect with themselves, advocate for their needs, and thrive authentically at work and beyond.
With a strong background in Learning and Development and inclusion coaching, I help organisations move from awareness to genuine neuro-inclusivity. I’ve delivered workshops and consultancy for charities, businesses, and teams, supporting them to better understand neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+ experiences.
Drawing on years of experience co-chairing an inclusion network for a major conservation charity, I create engaging, evidence-based sessions that build empathy, confidence, and lasting culture change.
WHO AM I?
About Laura
I’m a specialist coach, trainer, and speaker with a deep expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals to thrive.
With qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring (Level 5), Learning and Development, and Counselling Skills, I bring an evidence-based, neuro-affirming approach that helps people build self-advocacy, confidence, and strategies aligned with their unique neurotype.
As an LGBTQIA+ advocate, I integrate intersectional and inclusive principles into all my work – creating safe, empowering spaces for individuals and organisations alike. Alongside one-to-one coaching, I deliver workshops and training to help teams foster genuinely neuro-inclusive and affirming environments.
Beyond coaching, I’m a musician, nature lover, and single parent – bringing compassion, practicality, and real-life perspective to everything I do.
Testimonials
“After talking with Laura, I feel that my issues and ‘oddities’ that I have experienced throughout my life aren’t me just being weird and that there is a reason for this. I have also come up with a few better ways of working and also being kinder to myself by being less self critical.”
“I found you to be a great listener and very non-judgemental and understanding which has been key to me accepting my neurodivergence. You let me go where I needed to go and that was very helpful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN. My life is totally different to how it was a year ago.”
“I am being less critical to myself. I am taking breaks when I am tired. I am talking to my manager more and learning that I can’t deal with everything at once.”
“I have really enjoyed our coaching sessions. I have had questions and you have come up with possible solutions, you have shown me that neurodiversity doesn’t just have disadvantages and I have been able to recognise a number of impressive things that I can do that others can’t which has been a real confidence builder! Thank you so much for your time!”
